Fox River Grove School District 3 seeks a dynamic school psychologist to join our team. The goal of the school psychologist's job is to provide psychological and intervention services to students whose educational, social and /or psychological development is at risk or restricted due to ability, academic, personal-social, and/or emotional difficulties. The school psychologist is a member of the Special Services team, yet they provide services to all members of the school setting.
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Utilize a variety of appropriate formal and informal tools and techniques to evaluate the progress and performance of students.
- Coordinate data collection, input and reporting.
- Facilitate the development of all special education and regular education Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Work with school teams to develop strong instructional support models using research-based programs and/or strategies through the problem solving process.
- Provide social skill instruction for individuals and groups of students who have identified social/emotional/behavioral needs and require interventions or supports.
- Lead classroom interventions and perform topic presentations to effectively handle school wide problems.
- Provide crisis intervention in emergency situations.
- Establish and maintain open effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
- Ensure adherence to all state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience in working with special needs population
- Minimum of M.A. Degree
- School Psychologist License
- Knowledge of the requirements for Response to Intervention
- Knowledge of data collection methods and assessment results to guide instruction
Our district offers the following salary and benefits:
- Salary:
- $47,705 base salary
- $4,718 (Full paid TRS)
- $52,423 Total Creditable Earnings
- $5000 stipend in Year 1
